The saying goes,“March winds and April showers bring May flowers.”
If you’ve been going through a tough season in any area of your life, just remember that discomfort can be the basis for a period of happiness and prosperity.
Here are some tips accompanied by some of my favorite quotes that have helped me to be grateful for the rain; and allowed me to bask in the light of victory.
Gratitude opens so many doors that can lead to your breakthrough. Doors of wisdom, creativity, resourcefulness, and joy. You may wonder, “What do I have to be grateful for?” when you’re weathering a storm.
I always say to myself, “God doesn’t give big fights to little soldiers.” Be grateful that you’re facing a big fight, because that means you’re walking into an even bigger victory.
I learned to look for the lessons instead of focusing on the losses. When I stopped asking, “Why me?” and started asking, “What does this situation have for me?” I was able to find the nuggets that made me better and got me through my storm faster.
“Bad times have a scientific value. These are occasions a good learner would not miss.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Work hard and push through. Don’t let a challenge stop you from executing with a spirit of excellence.
“Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It’s not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; it’s a day you’ve had everything to do and you’ve done it.” – Margaret Thatcher
Running from an obstacle doesn’t make it go away. Fearing the outcome doesn’t prepare you to face it. The scariest moment is always right before you take that leap.
Take it anyway!
“I don’t run away from a challenge because I am afraid. Instead, I run towards it because the only way to escape fear is to trample it beneath your foot.” – Nadia Comaneci
